WINE NOT? PACIFIC ADR’S NOTES ABOUT WINES WE LOVE!
In this issue of our Newsletter we are introducing a column about wines we love and how to get them. At this time of sheltering in place wine procurement can present particular challenges. Today’s column focuses upon several sources who provide a good selection of wine, reasonable prices and reliable delivery.
Locally, Esquin (madwine.com) at 4th and Lander in Seattle has an extraordinary selection of wines from around the world as well as very knowledgeable staff. Esquin is currently open Monday-Wednesday 10:00am-6:00pmfor curbside pick up, delivery and shipping.
Another local treasure is Rain City Wines (email@example.com) in Bothell, Wa. Rain City is small shop with a focus upon European and Lebanese wines (yes, Lebanese!). They have been open at more or less regular hours but you should check first before visiting.
Two purveyors that sell online only are Wine Access (wineaccess.com) and Last Bottle (lastbottlewines.com). Wine Access has a small but diverse selection emphasizing California, Italian, French and Spanish offerings. Lately, this site has been featuring one or more daily limited offers with free shipping on orders of six bottles or more. These limited offers sell out quickly! In addition, a feature of this company is a detailed analysis of each bottle in its inventory as well as ratings from well known wine critics for many bottles. I haven’t been disappointed by any Wine Access wines.
Last Bottle is another California based online seller that features one discounted wine at a time. Here too it is important to act quickly because Last Bottle’s special deals sell out fast.
Next issue we will discuss some of Washington State’s best wines for the money!
